Vacancy – HR advisor (220000MA)
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced and motivated HR Advisor to join the Human Resources and Learning & Development Team, which sits in the BGS Operations function.
The HR Advisor works flexibly as part of a small team to provide HR advice and support to managers and staff at all levels of the organisation and seeks to ensure that an effective, customer focussed service is provided which adheres to UKRI policy, employment legislation and best practice.
This role will be based at the BGS headquarters in Keyworth, Nottingham.
Vacancy – servers & storage manager (220000L1)
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced and motivated technical manager to lead and manage the BGS Servers & Storage Team, which plays a critical role in providing access to data and services for all BGS staff and stakeholders.
The Servers & Storage Manager is part of the BGS IT, Security and Application Development function and the postholder will lead and manage a small team, providing them with strong technical and strategic leadership and using your specialist knowledge and expertise of Windows, Windows AD, VMWare, Dell Unity SAN and IBM Spectrum Protect.
This role can be based at either the BGS headquarters in Keyworth, Nottingham or the BGS offices in Edinburgh which are situated on the Heriot-Watt University campus.
Vacancy – data ingestion officer (220000I2)
BGS is looking to recruit a highly motivated data ingestion officer. This is an exciting opportunity for candidates with some existing cataloguing/collections management experience to join our small team. You will report directly to the accession and registration manager and work closely with colleagues in corporate data management and the geomaterials warehouse.
Based in the BGS Headquarters in Keyworth, Nottingham, you will be part of a team that ensures that all data currently held and deposited to the National Geoscience Data Centre (NGDC) is findable, accessible, interoperable and reusable (FAIR).
Learning & Development HR Business Partner
This role will be based at the BGS headquarters in Keyworth, Nottingham
Pay Band E, salary range £39,748 to £44,166 per annum (depending on qualifications and experience).
Full-time – 37 hours a week, A range of flexible working options may be available (including some hybrid/remote working which BGS is currently trialling). Permanent appointment. The closing date for receipt of applications is Sunday 3 April 2022. Interviews are expected to be held in mid-April 2022.
